These are among the most important pre-Hispanic ruins in the Americas due to their masterful urban layout, the monumental architecture and the strong religious and political influence that Teotihuacan held over other cities, here we will visit the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. OAXACA – MONTE ALBAN – TUXTLA GUTIERREZ
Breakfast at the hotel. Our visits of the day will be to Monte Alban Archaeological Site, which is the former Center of the Zapotec Empire, and it was
occupied later for the Mixtec’s. Because of its important cultural development and its monumental architecture, the UNESCO declared this archaeological zone a World Heritage Site in 1987. TUXTLA GUTIERREZ – CAÑON DEL SUMIDERO – SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS
Tour to Sumidero Canyon starts at 12:00, Pick up at 09:00 at the bus station and continue to Chiapa de Corzo, this little town stands by the Grijalva River from where we can explore the impressive Cañon del Sumidero (Sumidero Canyon), one of the nation’s most important natural attractions. SAN CRISTOBAL –INDIANS COMMUNITIES– SAN CRISTOBAL
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning guided tour to visit San Juan Chamula, Zinacatan in San Cristobal where you’ll admire all the typical rites the Indians keep. Return to San Cristobal de las Casas, and afternoon at leisure in this city, you can discover by yourself impressive religious edifices like the Cathedral or the Templo de Santo Domingo.
